We, as a team aim to achieve a number of tough challenges in order to raise money for Diabetes UK. I (Rob) have had Type 1 Diabetes for roughly 20 years so we are fully aware of the challenges diabetic people face on a daily basis. It's a difficult thing to deal with but its something you have to get on with!
Therefore we are going to attempt to complete a number of challenges through this year, finishing by the day before the opening ceremony of London 2012 Olympics on the 26th July. This is similar to the Gold Challenge, but we thought we'd attempt it slightly differently.
Our Challenges are:
9200km on Bike
750km Running
600km Rowing
We have picked these challenges because we can do each of them in the gym and they will test us throughout the 6 months till the Olympics. These along with fitting in uni work (all in 3rd year of our degrees) and other things should be a big test.
We welcome any size of money, its all to a good charity to improve people's lives. I hope you enjoy the thought of us struggling! We start on the 9th January.
Thanks
