Swim 22

Sarah is getting her goggles on!!
Why?
To complete the equivalent of a Channel swim - 22 miles in my local pool
Who for?
Diabetes UK - the charity for people with diabetes
When?
Between 22 August - 22 November

In October 1980 I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  Over 31 years I have seen many improvements in treatment and care thanks to diabetes research.

From a very early age I have enjoyed swimming, taking part in the sport throughout my school and college years and indeed ever since.  I usually swim twice a week however, to raise funds and set myself a challenge, for the next 3 months I intend to swim an average of 1.83 miles (147.5 lengths) every week.  This will equate to swimming the Channel.

Please help me to support this worthwhile cause to improve the lives of people with diabetes, by giving a donation.

Thank you all
Sarah
