Hello everyone,
As many of you know I run like a bit of a chicken, flappy arms, funny legs and all that.
I am running the Great North Run in under one month for Diabetes UK and they desperately need your money. But that’s not the only reason; I hear they give you a great trophy!
I will be running 13.1 miles from Newcastle to Gatehead with Charlotte (she’s the other one in the photo that’s not me!). We completed the Great South last year and for some crazy reason thought we would challenge ourselves even more and attempt the worlds biggest half marathon.
I know many people who have suffered and who suffer from diabetes (friends and family), including Charlotte, and I believe it to be a very worthy cause.
There are 2.5 million people diagnosed with diabetes in the UK and over 500,000 people who have the condition but don’t know it. Although diabetes cannot yet be cured it can be managed very successfully, and with your money we can help aid their research.
So now for the begging part… please please please sponsor me. All donations greatly appreciated, big or small.
