Food testing is important for those people who can only eat certain foods. Careful checking of labeling of products that contain such things are important to the consumer as it could mean life or death for that certain individual. In medical terms food allergy is a hypersensitivity to dietary substances leading on to various types of reactions and complaints. It occurs mainly, but not exclusively, in children. It is a common type of allergy, and is usually treated with an exclusion diet.
Everybody responds differently to certain things, so this is why researchers test such things, and are continuing to improve our food to compliment our diets with extra vitamins and minerals.
