First Aid

Having first aid knowledge and the right equipment with which to practice first aid is essential no matter where you are. Illness and accidents can strike at any time, whether at home, at school, at work or just out in the street. With the right first aid training you might just be the only person who can save someone's life.

Everyone in the UK has the opportunity to learn first aid. First aid courses are run by several institutions and range from introductory sessions to help you grasp the basics of first aid, to more advanced courses that take place over one or several days. If you are an employer and have people working on your premises then you are required by law to have a person available who is qualified to give first aid treatment. Similarly, if you are in charge of a large group of people or children, first aid knowledge is a must.

First aid equipment is available from many specialist retailers. General first aid kits, the contents of which comply with HSE directives, are an essential piece of equipment in every school and workplace. Depending on your requirements, specialist first aid equipment is also readily available, including respiratory equipment and products to treat burns from chemical spillage.
