Health Club

Regular membership of a health club is an ideal way to keep fit and to meet like-minded people. As well as offering all the facilities that a gymnasium offers, health clubs generally provide additional sports and recreation amenities like squash courts, swimming pools and tennis courts. You may also have access to spa facilities and a sauna room to help you relax after a heavy workout.

Most health clubs are family oriented and provide equipment and activities for children as well as adults. Some health clubs also have a crèche where smaller children can be left while you go and workout or use any of the other facilities.

Classes and training programs are a big feature of health clubs, just as they are in many gymnasiums. But with the additional amenities provided by a health club classes can be wider ranging than they are at a gym. For instance, water aerobics classes can be taken where there is a pool. You may also be able to sign up for squash and tennis lessons with a professional instructor.
