Quit Smoking

Want to give up smoking right now? Quitting smoking is absolutely the best thing that you can do for your short and long term health. Every cigarette that you smoke fills your bloodstream with oxidised LDL cholesterol, increasing the chances that your arteries will clog up with plaques and give you a heart attack. In fact, smokers are two to three times more likely to have a heart attack than non-smokers, whilst 80% of all lung cancer deaths are due to smoking.

By quitting smoking today, and adopting a healthy lifestyle you can increase the strength of your heart to cope with existing plaques, and also substantially reduce the risk of dying from lung cancer. Giving up nicotine though is no easy task. It takes determination, self-belief and a real desire to quit. You also need motivation - do you want to be around to see your kids' kids grow up?

As with all addictions, help is on hand to kick the habit. The first thing you must do though is admit that smoking is killing you and that you want to do something about it. Counselling, products to manage withdrawal and advice on developing a new lifestyle regime are just a phone call or a click away!
